How We Do College Planning

No Product Sales — We don't sell life insurance, annuities, mutual funds, or even 529 savings plans. In fact, we don't sell any commission-based products — ever. You never have to worry that our advice is tainted by a desire to get you to buy some product.

Complimentary Consultation — No Risk — No Obligation — No Kidding! We understand that that finding the right financial advisor is as much about confidence and trust as it is competence. That's why we offer a complimentary 45-minute consultation. It's our nickel but your meeting so you can see for yourself if we are the best people to help you develop a college funding strategy. We promise that we're not going to sell you anything.

Guarantee — If the college and tax planning strategies we propose don't offer the potential to save at least two times our fee, you don't pay.(1)

Fair Fees — Paying for college is tough enough already. That's why we offer easy monthly payment options. And, when we work together, you pay a simple flat fee. We don't charge more just because you decide you need an extra phone call or meeting.(2)

Written Agreement — We put everything in writing, in advance. You'll never be left guessing about what we are doing or how much it will cost. This transparency allows our relationship to be candid and trustful.

The Fine Print

1. We propose strategies that we believe will improve your family's cash flow. Sometimes, these strategies are tax-based and sometimes the strategies directly affect college costs. Although a strategy may be counted when determining whether we met the guarantee, you are always free to reject any strategy. We also encourage you to seek the advice of other professionals such as your accountant or lawyers. For strategies that require professional assistance to implement, we can often help. However, you are never under any obligation and always reserve the right to consult any professional that you choose. If you choose to have us help you implement a strategy, we put in writing exactly how much we will charge.
2. For most college planning engagements, we charge a down payment and 12 monthly installments to your credit or debit card.
